Dental Fitness Program

By correcting your current oral health problems and preventing new ones from developing, Dr. Hsu's proactive approach aims at helping you stay well and live a healthier life. We believe that by improving your dental health and eliminating current symptoms of disease through any potential necessary dentistry, our patients can reach a state where they are free not only of dental concerns, but also of dental visits (with the exception, of course, of hygiene visits). Our goal here at Wellness Centered Dentistry is to help our patients get and stay healthy, thereby reducing the time and money you spend in the dental chair repairing the damage caused by recurrent dental diseases. By controlling your risk for active dental disease, we believe it is possible to be decay-free and keep your teeth for the rest of your life!

Dr. Hsu was so confident in the power of his approach to dental care that he recruited his daughter, Hannah, to conduct a study into the sucess of his methodology. Hannah Hsu holds Bachelor's degrees in mathematics and physics, and combined her education with practical experience as a Registered Dental Assistant to conduct this research. We examined the dental history of 104 patients who had addressed all of their dental needs with Dr. Hsu's lifetime dentistry, e.g., gold and porcelain crowns and fillings. These patients maintained an average plaque-free level of 87% following their lifeime dentistry, for an average of about ten years after completing all of their prescribed dental work. Of these 104 patients, not one lost a tooth, and 75% had no further dental needs due to decay. Of the quarter who required further dental work, they averaged less than two restorations over the course of ten years. This is a significant reduction in the amount of dentistry needed in order to maintain their state of dental health. Congratuations to these 104 patients on their successful journey of ongoing dental health and wellness!
